The other day we headed to the Finish Line shoe store at the mall, because even homeschooled kids get new back to school Reebok Twistform shoes. While homeschooling is growing in popularity, there’s still sometimes a stigma associated with it. We don’t all wear demin jumpers and we do need shoes. But only once in a while. Because honestly, part of the beauty of homeschooling is lounging around all day in our jammies watching soaps and eating bon bons, right? Oh wait – that’s just what stay at home moms do? I jest, I jest!! 😀
Even Homeschooled Kids Get New B2S Reebok Twistform Shoes
But we did get new shoes recently, because aside from new shoes being some sort of back to school ritual, at the end of the summer, my kids NEEEEED new shoes. They are incredibly active kids and hard on everything, and by summer’s end, it’s all worn out.
So we headed to Finish Line to check out the Reebok Twistform shoes. When I was this age, we lived in Germany and most of my back to school shopping was done from the JC Penney catalog. Have I just aged myself, or do you remember ordering from catalogs too? While I have fond memories of shopping from a paper catalog, I much prefer being able to go to the shoe store in person to make sure shoes fit correctly and look good. I especially want to have my kids’ feet measured by professionals as they grow so quickly! My oldest daughter now officially wears a larger shoe size than I do … and she’s only 11!!!
My kids, especially the girls, were thrilled with the comfort and look of Reebok Twistform shoes – they loved the spiral midsole that provides maximum comfort. And they liked the wide variety of colors – red, yellow, green, blue, purple, grey, and pink.
Once we got the right sizes (turns out the 5 year old had one shoe in size 12 and one in size 10 1/2 in her box – another reason to buy in store!!), the Reebok Twistform shoes were easy to put on and lace up. I prefer Velcro shoes for littles who can’t tie their own, but luckily, I only have one kid left who still can’t tie her own shoes.
Cora, my 7 year old second grader, was especially excited to model her new shoes for you. She thinks they are very responsive and allow her to run fast, jump high, and climb tall trees (with ladders). 🙂
If your school aged kids (homeschooled or otherwise) need new shoes, head on over to Finish Line and check out the Reebok Twistform shoes. I think you’ll all be pleased! Please connect with Reebok on Facebook and Twitter and Finish Line on Facebook and Twitter.
What are some of your back to school rituals? Do you also get new shoes like we do?
