I received tickets to Disney on Ice Passport to Adventure to facilitate this review, but the opinions are all mine.
On Thursday, our whole family headed out to Disney on Ice to see their Passport to Adventure show.
Last year I went with only my two older daughters and the other kids were a little upset about that – especially my son which surprised me. So this year, we all went. All 6 of us.
We had a great time. The kids were enthralled – despite their looks in this photo. The three year old especially was excited to watch the show. Her eyes were wide the whole time.
I liked it better than last year’s it’s a small world theme. Last year seemed to focus quite a lot on the Disney Princesses. I liked this year’s focus on The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and the Lion King. My older two daughters agreed that this year was better too, but it’s the most recent thing they remember, so I wasn’t surprised to hear them say that. But – look at that enormous Ursula! How awesome that was to see. I remember when the Little Mermaid came out in theaters. I was in high school and enjoyed the movie about as much as the little kids. Yes, I will admit that… 🙂
The songs from that movie were just always so catchy, I thought. And Ursula was pretty impressive at Disney on Ice. She popped and deflated right there on the rink. I might have been more impressed than the kids.
Even better than the Little Mermaid though, might be Peter Pan. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard Peter Pan from the front of my van as we’re driving down the road. I haven’t watched the movie that many times, but it’s one movie that my 4 kids can always agree to watch when we’re on the road. If you’ve dealt with bickering children on road trips, you know that them agreeing on something is pretty priceless. We sing, “We’re following the leader, the leader, the leader…” a lot in my family. I love that song. 🙂
And of course, Captain Hook got what he deserved at the very end. It was pretty awesome. My 3 year old is still talking about “that dragon.” 😀 Of course, she means the huge alligator. Everyone had a great time and we’re looking forward to next year, too.
Head to the box office to see when Disney on Ice will be near you! You can also check out Disney on Ice website. Passport to Adventure is fun show for the entire family. Have you been? I’d love to hear what you thought!
