Here’s a bit of the food we ate around here this past week:

Monkey Bread from my freezer…

Fried Green Tomatoes (Why no, I don’t buy paper towels – regular kitchen towels work just fine…)

Corn, Avocado, and Black Bean Tostadas

The tostadas and monkey bread are keepers. I’m glad I tried the fried green tomatoes, but I don’t know that I would make them again…have you tried them? Do you like them??

  1. Love tostadas :) I call them chalupas but it's the same idea. My kids have learned to love them too, I think they had to or they would have starved! I have another chalupa recipe that is super easy. Layer quacamole, cooked chicken mixed with smoked paprika and pico de gallo on a tostada shell. Yummy! Got it from Cooking Light.
