I’m sure you all love reading blogs by moms having pity parties. Have you ever felt like you could do nothing right? That’s been my week. I have been feeling sick and tired and sorry for myself for too many days now. An illness has descended upon my house with a vegenace. We are not sick people by nature, but this winter has been very harsh. The whole family has suffered from whatever flu bug is ravishing Eastern Iowa. And even I, who has been feeling completely smug and immune to my kids’ germs, have been hit hard. The unfinished and unorganized nature of my house is getting me down. My kids’ bored attitudes and desire to watch TV 24/7 is about to drive me batty. And the cold and snow is about to do me in.
But it’s time to get on with life! Be gone…sick germs and feelings of inadequacy. I banish you from my house. Today is another day. And tomorrow is another month! Hopefully with March will comes signs of spring. In the meantime, I promise to quit moaning and groaning and get back to the regular blogging around here… 🙂 Thanks for allowing me to vent!

Feb 28 – Beef & Veggie Stir Fry & Rice
Mar 1 – Homemade Red Sauce with Noodles
Mar 2 – Hard Tacos, Beans & Rice
Mar 3 – Crockpot Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Veggies, Salad (We never did have the crockpot chicken on my last menu).
Mar 4 – Stroganoff & Noodles, Veggies, Salad
Mar 5 – Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, Crusty Bread
Mar 6 – Homemade Pizza, Salad
I have a confession to make: I am going to Sam’s Club on Wednesday (unless there is a super good deal at Fareway) and I’m buying a roll of ground beef. We’ve been out for at least 8 weeks. The kids are begging for tacos. I’d like some, too. I also HAVE to get some pre-made meals back in my freezer. So, that’s what I’m doing! After I get that meat, I’m going to have a cook-a-thon. I’m making taco meat, stroganoff, and meatballs for our freezer. I also plan to make some hamburger patties. I’m just not going to make it until we get our next order of beef.
