I’m working on only weekly menu (s) this month – something I haven’t done in a long time. I have found that my longer plans are going by the wayside. We’ve had so much going on lately, things that have been popping up at the last minute, that it’s been hard to stick to the plan. I’m hoping that with a shorter plan, I’ll do better, because I might have a better idea of upcoming events. And, I’m proud to report, we ate almost EVERYTHING (no chicken noodle soup) on my March Menu Part !
Here’s my plan for this week’s weekly menu –
Monday – Chicken Enchiladas, Beans (extra beans & tortilla dough for the freezer)
Tuesday – Buttery Zucchini with Ground Beef, Baked Sweet Potatoes, Salad
Wednesday – Baked Potato Soup, Homemade Bread, Salad
Thursday – Cabbage and Kielbasa (easy crock pot meal), Cauliflower, Salad
Friday – Brats & Fried Potatoes, Veggies, Salad
Saturday – Layered Quesadillas, Guacamole
Sunday – Homemade Pizza, Salad
I’ve already finished all of my shopping for the week! I finished it up this weekend in an attempt to get the good deals before the stores run out. You can read the details here.
I’m still hoping for good deals on butter and unbleached flour this week! I keep reading about food prices being on the rise, and I’m curious to see the results. When butter goes below $2 a pound and flour is 99 cents again, I’m stocking up! I’m about out of both. I might also make a quick run to Walgreens. I’d really like to get some of the free baby Pedi-Care Fever Reducer Collin mentions at Hip2Save.
