I’m on a spring cleaning mission. A couple weeks ago, I went through our toiletries and purged all the nail polish because I bought it several years ago and it’s just done – clumpy and yucky. To celebrate a job well done, the kids and I headed to Walgreens to restock our supply. Three little girls I know are always bugging me to do their nails.

IMG_4720We ended up with quite the nail haul – my kids were beside themselves with glee! But the best part of the day was trying out some new Sally Hansen products while we were at Walgreens.

IMG_4641We were thrilled to find a Beauty Advisor, Kellsey, at Walgreens who was only too happy to apply Sally Hansen’s Real Nail Polish Strips on each of my kiddos, including Ben. To see many of the awesome designs, check out my Google+ Album. Kellsey was really sweet and the kids took to her instantly!

We had such a hard time picking out our products, that we ended up getting a bunch. The kids said they wanted rainbow nails…which I was a little reluctant to try, and for good reason {they didn’t really work out.} Everyone is inspired right now by the promise of spring and bright colors! Maybe putting bright colors on our nails will convince spring to finally come our direction!!

I used my Balance Reward card and got the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish and Salon Effects for BOGO 50%! This sale lasts until 3/30 so you still have time to get yours, too! The Insta-Dri polish has a wider than normal brush and true to its name, dries very quickly. That’s great because my kids are all very wiggly! I Heart Nail Art but it’s hard to put on kiddos!

sally hansen nailsAfter we bought our manicure products, we came home and set up a manicure shop – complete with fingernail soaking {so desperately needed}

#ilovemynailartAnd cuticle help! {Also very, very desperately needed.}

And here’s what we ended up with, after a lot of trial and error!

#iheartmynailart#IHeartMyNailArt – Mood nails – using the Brisk Blue Insta-Dri nail polish and the Light Pink Nail Art Pen!

#iheartmynailartAnd my nails! I also used the Brisk Blue Insta-Dri nail polish and I applied one of the Salon Effecs Real Nail Polish Strips — Girl Flower — for a little extra flourish!

    Your daughter is adorable and I love her nails! I’ve used the floral strip before and love how pretty it looks next to the blue. We had a lot of fun with our mommy daughter nail play date too.

    Looks like you had fun…and cleaned out Walgreens! My favorite nails were yours and very nice collection.. Maybe I will plan to do this with the ladies when we have our family week at the beach this July! Does the quick dry polish really dry quickly?
