New Shoes for Me – Review of #EarthFootware The Maize #sp

While I adore shoes, I do not have the love affair with them that I see hyped by the media – meaning I don’t own 50+ pairs of shoes. When I find a pair of shoes I like, I tend to wear them out. And then I look for a new pair of the exact same shoes to buy. So, I’m putting Earth Footware on notice: do not discontinue The Maize. I adore these shoes.

The Maize shoes are not only stylish but also super comfy – and I mean comfy (check out the padding in that shoe!) If you follow me on Instagram or twitter, you probably know that I was at an amazing conference last week called ShiftCon. I wore these shoes there – through the airports of Moline, Illinois; Dallas Ft. Worth; and LAX. Did you see the crazy lady sprinting through the terminals at DFW determined to NOT miss yet another connecting flight to LAX? Bad weather and the fire at O’Hare really messed up my flights and I missed not one, but two connecting flights to LAX due to a delayed flight. I was lucky so many flights leave DFW headed for LAX or I wouldn’t have made it. Well anyway, I was wearing my Maize shoes that day. I really did have to run, but I made my flight, finally.

The shoes from #EarthFootware actually arrived the day before I left for ShiftCon and I was so glad to get them. They were super easy to slip on and off through security, and they never made my feet hurt. Not once, says the woman who had bunion surgery on both feet in her mid twenties. :/ I promise you, comfortable shoes are a must for me. I love that Earth® features incude: a cushioned footbed for all day comfort, a padded heel area to displace shock, a reinforced arch support to stabilize foot , and a multi-density latex cushioning layer for extra support. The end result from Earth – ultra comfort!

I also love the detailing in these leather shoes. I think they are so cute. I chose them in black because as you might guess, practicality always wins out for me. Another blogger I was lucky enough to meet at ShiftCon, Courtney from SimpleCityLife has the same shoes in a gorgeous red color, called Bordeaux. They were so pretty – makes me want a new pair!
