Weekly Menu / Freezer Cooking Plan ~ 12/16

WoHOOOOO! I’m celebrating this week because I turned in final grades for my college class this morning which means I have a MONTH long vacation!! I’m so excited about that! It’s always a relief to finish up another class. 😉

Well…We were supposed to have gone to Chicago this past weekend, but sick toddlers and sick friends made that trip impossible. :/ So I had to scramble this weekend to figure out what to cook because I had not planned anything! Menu planning really does simplify my life, even if I don’t always follow it.

This week the kids and I will be busy finally getting our homemade Christmas presents done. We have to bake a lot of bread, make granola, and also make homemade laundry soap. It’s going to be busy in my kitchen. Last week we made this beautiful fruit salad! Did you see that post? It was yummy and so pretty. I’m sad the fruit is all gone already.

Anyway ~ Here’s what we’re eating this week as we approach the Christmas Holidays:

Breakfasts ~

  • Oatmeal
  • Eggs & Bacon
  • Scones
  • Homemade Toaster Waffles
  • Toast & Fruit

  1. I'm so sad we didn't get to see you! I'm holding out for January and the post Christmas sales! As for meals, I'm feeling on top I it just b/c I managed to get a roast in the crock pot tonight.
  2. I have no idea what we're eating this week. I somehow lost an entire manila folder that held my meal plans for the rest of the month as well as some recipes clipped from magazines and newspapers. I only work on my menus in one of two places (at kitchen table or on couch), and I've looked high and low around each of those places as well as several other unlikely locations. I think it's gone. I think I accidentally tossed it in the recycling bin with the grocery ads. :( I feel frustrated and a little lost without it and will spend this morning making a new plan for the rest of the month.
