Weekly Menu

Another week has gone by already. How time flies when you’re having fun… Hehe!! My garden is in full swing right now – tomatoes and beans are going nuts. My kids have started school. Lots of things going on right now, and it’s supposed to be scorching hot this week. Since I really, really need to do a lot of preserving from my garden, I’m trying to minimize time spent cooking meals. I also need to clear room in my freezer for my 1/2 pig order…and that means eating more from the freezer than adding to the freezer.

Weekly Menu / Freezer Cooking Plan

Breakfasts ~

  • Yogurt & Berries
  • German Pancakes
  • Toast & Smoothies
  • Breakfast Burritos {from the freezer}
  • Egg & Potato Hash

Lunches ~

  • Leftovers
  • Baked Potatoes with Sauteed Garden Veggies
  • Sandwiches
  • Tuna & Crackers

Dinners ~

  • Chicken Oreganato¬†{a good freezer meal!}
  • Crock Pot BBQ Ribs
  • Homemade Rotisserie Chicken
  • Taco Soup for the Crockpot {extra for the freezer}
  • Italian Zucchini Pie {from the freezer}
  • House Burgers & Homemade Oven Fries {from the freezer}
  • Chef Salad

Canning / Preserving ~

That’s what I hope we’ll be eating this week. How about you?


  1. How do you prep the oven fries for the freezer and then how to you cook them? I am starting back to work full time next week, and would love to get things ready on the week end for week night dinner.
    • Hi! Well, I actually wasn't planning on freezing any oven fries, but now that you mention, I might give it a shot. I guess I'd do it the same way I planned to do the Potatoes O'Brien - chop (strips for the fries, cubed for the other) and blanch for 5 minutes, cool, bag, freeze.
