Weekly Menu/Freezer Cooking Plan ~ 7/2

My sister’s kids came to visit with my mom last week and we really had a lot of fun. My kids tried to talk them into moving from Seattle to Iowa, and I think everyone liked the idea! They left this morning, though, and I’m not going to lie to you – I’m liking that it’s a little bit quieter around here. 😉

But it was so nice having my mom here to share the cooking burden. She’s a great cook and loves to help out {read take over} in the kitchen. I never object! We had great food last week with a bunch of produce they brought from their big garden. And the best news, I have leftovers from their garden that we will continue to eat this week – which when combined with what I have in my garden means I won’t have to buy too much!

So, here’s what we’re eating. It’s a short week because we’ll be camping with the other side of the family Saturday-Monday.

Breakfasts ~

  • Yogurt & berries
  • Eggs & sausage
  • Egg / Bagel sandwiches
  • Toast & fruit

Lunches ~

  • Beans & rice
  • Salad & hard-boiled eggs
  • PB & J
  • Cheese sandwiches
  • Leftovers

Dinners ~ Yay! Kids’ ballgames are done so dinner is easier again.

Are you eating anything special for the 4th of July? I’d love to hear what’s on your menu!

  1. I'm stopping by from Menu Plan Monday today! It's lovely to have guests but so nice when they leave. Sounds like everyone had a great time. Our family loves tacos. My husband and son fry up the taco shells from corn tortillas. If you haven't tried it they're amazing. Thanks to Pinterest and MPM, I'm able to keep inspired when it comes to cooking and baking! I hope you have a wonderful week!
