How to Make Easy Cheese Biscuits & Cuina Giveaway

A yummy cheesy biscuit that resembles Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Perfect accompaniment to soups and stews.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour {I use freshly ground soft white wheat}
  • 1 TBS baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3-1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 TBS melted butter
  • 3 cloves crushed garlic

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Mix the dry ingredients and add milk and cheese.
  • Drop large dollops on a silicone baking mat.
  • Mix garlic and butter and pour over biscuits.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

A note about freshly ground flour - if you use freshly ground flour, you might want to weigh it for better results. I used 9.4 ounces of flour and then added in a little bit more at the end because I thought the dough looked too wet. Don't be afraid to make adjustments based on how the dough looks. You don't want the dough to be too wet or too dry and I have learned to weigh out the flour the hard way after years of baking almost exclusively with freshly ground flour.
