Easy Oven Sandwich Recipe – Perfect for Freezer Cooking

Make these family-sized sandwiches in 5 minutes. Bake for crustry bread and melty cheese OR freeze it for later.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf ciabatta bread or baguette
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices turkey breast
  • 6 slices salami
  • 3 slices organic cheese provolone, Monterrey jack, or whatever you want
  • 1 stick herbed better softened

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Split bread or baguette and butter both sides.
  • Spread out the meat - 6 slices ham, 6 slices salami, 6 slices turkey - on the bread. Or add more meat, if you'd like.
  • Top with cheese and close up the sandwich.
  • To eat right away, loosely wrap sandwich in aluminum foil and bake 15-20 minutes, until the bread is crunchy and the cheese is melty.
  • To freezer and enjoy at a later date, wrap tightly in aluminum foil and then place it in a 2 gallon bag. On serving day, let the sandwich thaw in the fridge all day long. Then back for 15-20 minutes in a 400 degree oven.
  • Alternatively, you can bake the frozen sandwich - just be prepared for a long bake time, 40-50 minutes. :-)
