This historic attraction proves that the best entertainment doesn’t need modern technology. Using gravity and traditional wooden toboggans, this slide has been thrilling visitors for over 135 years. I love how they’ve maintained the authentic experience while ensuring modern safety standards. This toboggan slide was one of my favorite winter activities in Québec. Make sure you don’t miss it.

More than a million visitors join the festivities annually, and I’ve found the authentic mix of tradition and modern celebration absolutely captivating.

Don’t let these numbers scare you – the dry cold is actually quite manageable with proper preparation. Québec City’s compact size makes it easy to explore:

  • Reliable public transit system
  • Rideshare services readily available
  • Funicular connects Upper and Lower Town, but it’s also easy to walk between levels.
