Easy Baked Camembert with Pears, Pomegranates, & Hazelnuts
One of my favorite appetizers is just about any kind of cheese and baked Camembert is simply fabulous. This easy appetizer pairs wonderfully with wine and is an impressive, yet easy, recipe that just about anyone can make. I adapted this recipe for Foodandwine.com.
To make this baked Camembert, simply whisk together brandy, pure maple syrup, and salt. Place the Camembert in a small oven safe dish and pour the brandy mixture on top. Then bake in a 400 degree oven for about 9 minutes.
Top with chopped hazelnuts and pomegranate seeds and serve with sliced pears and assorted crackers! Simply delicious.

Don’t forget the Wente Wine!
Wine is a necessity at my house and I drink it almost every day. I’m a red wine kind of gal, and Wente Wine’s Southern Hill’s Cabernet is really delicious, but Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay recently earned a Wine Enthusiast score of 90 points and it’s quite tasty too!
Wente Vineyards is a 5th generation winery and has been making wine since 1883. I really like that the company promotes “farming and wine making practices that are sensitive to the environment and responsive to the needs and interests of society in general.”
Let me know if you make this easy baked Camembert! I’d love to hear what you think.
